AeroVan is a comprehensive program to design a new class of utility aircraft. The original Gavilan is being looked at and redesigned with fundamentally more aerodynamic, roomier, quieter and more cost effective propulsion systems. The Gavilan airframe will be designed to utilize advances in aluminum and composite advances, and will also so serve as a test-bed for fuel saving Hybrid propulsion and devices:
